Chinese Government Scholarships
Chinese government provides various types of scholarships for international students. Two of them are most famous and prestigious. You can apply for both Chinese government scholarship and University scholarships.
Chinese government scholarship is considered as type-A CSC scholarship and scholarships which are offered by universities are considered as type-B scholarships.

Type-A Government Scholarship
- Full funded Chinese government scholarship
- Application starts at : November to December. Previous year started from 19 November to 26 December
- Course language : Chinese medium
- Requirements : Chinese language proficiency. (HSK score 3 or 4 needed)
Facilities :
1. Full tuition fee
2. Accommodation facilities
3. Monthly stipend covering (300 to 500 USD)
Conditions :
1. Part time job aren’t allowed
2. You have to be regular in class
3. Should have good result every semester
Type-B University Scholarship
- Chinese high ranked universities offer their own scholarships for international students.
- These scholarship are easy to get and have lower competition than the government scholarship. But there are some conditions and requirements to get this scholarships.
- Application starts at : November to December. Previous year started from 19 November to 26 December
- Course language : Chinese medium and English medium
- Requirements : Chinese language proficiency. (HSK score 3 or 4 needed). Or IELTS 6+ for English medium Courses
Facilities :
1. Full tuition fee
2. Accommodation facilities
3. Monthly stipend covering (300 to 500 USD)
Conditions :
1. Part time job aren’t allowed
2. The scholarship is provided yearly. If you get the scholarship, you will get the facilities for 1st year. Then you have to fulfill the following conditions to get the scholarship for 2nd year. Of you cannot meet the requirements you have to pay fees for the 2nd year.
3. You have to meet 95% class attendance and exam score 70%.
