Mostakim Ahmed: Yes, it’s very helpful to learn the Romanian language, especially if you plan to work part-time. While the city of Brașov is well-developed and has enough job opportunities, it’s much easier to get a job if you can communicate in Romanian. I didn’t face much difficulty in learning the language, thanks to the preparatory classes and my efforts to practice with native speakers.

There are academic support services, cultural activities, and various student organizations that make it easier for international students to adjust and thrive. The support here is excellent, and it’s easy to feel at home.

Mostakim Ahmed: One of the challenges is managing finances, especially since I need to work part-time to cover all my expenses. Another issue is the initial language barrier, but attending language classes and interacting with locals has helped me overcome this challenge.
